HOW COUNSELLING HELPS

"Everything you've ever wanted is on the other side of fear"   George Addair

Why Counselling?

Sometimes negative experiences from the past can prevent us from living life the way we would like. We can feel overwhelmed, empty, helpless, distressed, angry and afraid. We may struggle to resolve our difficulties on our own, and may not wish to talk to friends or family about it.  We just can't seem to move forward, and find ourselves trapped in a cycle of pain-pity-pain.

Counselling helps in several ways:-

Counselling provides a safe, non-judgmental environment, creating  an opportunity to share your thoughts,  feelings and behavioral responses with a trained professional where the issues and difficulties that are causing you distress and concern can be explored, understood and worked through.

Counselling can help reduce distressing symptoms, give you a different perspective and leave you feeling empowered and confident to move forward in making decisions which are sometimes difficult to make and to face.

Counselling helps to elicit faulty thinking, explore unconscious processes which may result in unwelcome behavioral patterns.

Counselling enhances self-awareness, providing you with the ability to make new and informed choices.

Counselling is an enriching relationship which facilitates,  change, growth and maturity.
